For a second straight year, CBA Sailing topped the Spring Fleet Championship regatta, earning the Colts the annual league championship.

In the 22-race series, Christian Brothers used a late surge to separate from a tightly-contested top three. The Colts took control of the regatta by winning five races and finishing second in two more over the final eight races of the series.

Christopher Small '26, Mitchell Hnatt '24 and Matthew Dupree '25 teamed up to win the A Division by nine points. The trio won four races and only finished outside the top five in a single race.

Cole Buczkowski '27 and Luke Pennisi '24 were second in the B Division, finishing in the top two in eight of their 11 races.

The victory qualifies CBA for the Mid-Atlantic District Championship on May 11-12 at Toms River Yacht Club.

It is the seventh league title since 2014 for CBA Sailing, the most of any team in the 25-school league.

Just one week later, CBA traveled to Norfolk, Virginia to sail in the Mid-Atlantic Team Race Championship, where the team finished third overall.

The podium finish was the best-ever result for the Colts at the Team Race Championship. CBA posted a 15-6 overall record and a berth into the championship's final four round.

CBA also placed the highest of any New Jersey school at this regional event since 2012 and was the second-best result ever by a Garden State school.
