The month of May proved to be a winning one for CBA Track & Field.

The Colts captured the Shore Conference, Monmouth County overall and Monmouth County relay championships within a span of three weeks.

CBA's 18th outdoor conference championship came on May 23, after the meet was postponed due to a weekend rainstorm. The weather delay did nothing to slow down the Colts, however, as they used some excellent performances to clinch the Shore title.

Four Colts won individual events at the conference meet: Alex Kemp (3200), Tristan McFarlane (high jump), Joe White (long jump) and Jack Ostrowsky (javelin).

In the 1600, CBA finished second through fourth with Joe Barrett, Nick Sullivan and Lucas Ward. Kam Coleman added a second place finish in the 110 high hurdles, while the 4x400 relay team was also second.

Just 10 days earlier, the Colts captured their 28th Monmouth County Championship, winning seven events on their way to victory.

Sean Lawson (400 dash), Conor Clifford (1600), McFarlane (high jump), Coleman (triple jump) and Ostrowsky (javelin) were all individual event winners. CBA added relay wins in the 4x800 and 4x400.

Speaking of relays, the program notched a 12th consecutive Monmouth County Relays title on May 4. The Colts won six events to separate themselves from the pack during the two-day event.

Matt Herman (400 hurdles), McFarlane (high jump), White (long jump) and Travis Spader (javelin) were all individual winners, while relay victories came in the 4x400 and Distance Medley.

The Monmouth County relay win in the DMR came just days after the team of Clifford, Lawson, Sullivan and Jack Falkowski finished second at the Penn Relays Championship Race.

CBA will now look forward to the Non-Public State Championships on June 9 and 10.
