Christian Brothers Academy Sailing kept an impressive streak going on September 24.

With a third place finish at the NJISA Fall Fleet Championship, the Colts qualified for the Mid-Atlantic District Championship for the fifth straight season, a feat that no other New Jersey school can currently match.

In fact, Christian Brothers has qualified for 15 of the last 18 district championships, by far the most in the state. CBA's Mid-Atlantic District is comprised of New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Maryland and Virginia.

At the league championship, the Colts were led by a freshman-senior combination of Christopher Small '26 and Nicholas Cunha '23, who won the B Division on the day. The pair won three races and never finished outside of the top five in any of the eight races.

In A Division, Bryce Vitiello '23 and Mitchell Hnatt '24 turned in top-five finishes in six of the eight races that they sailed.

The Colts will now travel to Port Jefferson, N.Y. for the District Championship on October 15-16.

A week earlier, CBA finished first and second in the Back to School Regatta, where Vitiello and Luke Pennisi '24 won A Division by eight points over teammates and second place finishers Noah Kuzloski '23 and Daniel Stephan '24.
