Christian Brothers Academy Athletics was ranked as the seventh-best high school program in the country by MaxPreps, a leading source in high school sports.

The Colts landed in the top-10 of the 2019-2020 MaxPreps Cup standings, which is used to rank the best high school programs each year across the country.

The standings use state championships and state runner-up finishes to award points to U.S. high schools. Each sport's popularity, state size, and state-wide student enrollment also factors into the rankings.

Christian Brothers was the only New Jersey school in the top-25 of the overall boys' rankings.

In a shortened school year, the Colts still won five state championships, as well as a Meet of Champions title.

Cross Country kicked off the school year in their usual fashion, winning their 30th state championship and 24th Meet of Champions title.

The winter season saw a whopping four state championships in the span of a month and a half.

Indoor Track & Field won both the relays state championship and the overall state title. Swimming earned their third straight state championship and 10th in the last 11 years.

Finally, CBA Hockey used a dramatic third period comeback to capture their first state title since 2015 and their eighth win in team history.

In the state of New Jersey, the Academy has won the last five NJSIAA/ShopRite Cups for best non-public athletics program. The Colts also hold the state-record with 11 total ShopRite Cup titles.
