On Sunday, Christian Brothers Academy Fencing was represented by Tom Gana '18 and Tad Lundborg '17 at the 2017 NJSIAA Individual State Championships at Montgomery High School.

Both Colts qualified for the individual states in the Epee division through the district championships. Lundborg won the individual Epee district championship, while Gana finished fourth.

On Sunday, Lundborg and Gana both advanced to the third and final round of the state tournament, fencing a total of 19 bouts each. Lundborg finished third overall, while Gana notched sixth place.

Lundborg will now continue his fencing career at New York University, a top-ranked school for fencing.
