Christian Brothers Academy Athletics is pleased to announce that Tad Lundborg '17 (Varsity Fencing) and Paul Waraksa '19 (JV Basketball) are the January Student Athletes of the Month, sponsored by Tinton Falls Orthopedic & Sports Physical Therapy.

The Rundown

Lundborg helped the CBA team to a fourth place finish at the 48-team Cetrulo Tournament, the Colts' best finish ever at the event. His epee squad finished second at Cetrulo, which is also the highest squad finish at Cetrulo. The next weekend, Lundborg led the CBA team to its first District 3 Championship. His epee squad also won the district for the second straight year, as well as Lundborg capturing his second straight District Individual Epee Championship, going 8-0 in the championship pool. Outside of fencing, Lundborg has led volunteers for the past two years making blankets for Bob's Blankie Brigade, supporting hospitalized children.
