After five tremendous years, Mr. Mike Mazzaccaro will be completing his tenure as Director of Athletics later this month.

Since taking the helm in 2020, Mazzaccaro has led CBA Athletics with vision, purpose, and a genuine love for both the Colts and our school mission.

"Every day, I showed up knowing I’d be inspired, thanks to the high standard set by our school community," Mazzaccaro said. "I’ve learned countless lessons that I’ll carry with me as I take on new roles and challenges."

Under his direction, CBA student-athletes excelled across every season and surface: around the track, in the pool, on the field, in the gym, and on the water. In fact, the Colts won a state or conference championship in baseball, crew, cross country, golf, ice hockey, indoor track, lacrosse, outdoor track, rugby, sailing, soccer, swimming, tennis, and wrestling during Mazzaccaro's tenure.

He encouraged student-athletes at every level, mentored his coaching staff, and strengthened the connection between athletics and our Lasallian identity.

“My memories of serving as Athletic Director aren’t defined by stats or championships, they’re defined by the remarkable students, generous mentors, and incredible colleagues who have made this the most rewarding professional experience of my life,” Mazzaccaro said.

In addition to the "on-the-field" success, Mazzaccaro led the athletic department during a time where multiple new facilities were planned, constructed and utilized. His efforts during each of these processes produced top-notch homes for multiple CBA teams. Keane Field, Sheehan Track & Field, O'Shea-Martin Tennis Pavilion, Sullivan Tennis Courts, O'Gara-Montedoro Grass Fields for Rugby, and the Heath Cross Country Course were all built or upgraded since 2022.

While he may be hanging up the AD clipboard, Mazzaccaro will remain a vital part of the CBA community as he transitions into a new role within the Advancement Office. He will continue to serve CBA with the same passion, professionalism, and team-first mindset that defined his leadership in athletics.
