Christian Brothers Academy Tennis is officially back on top of the Shore after 33 years.

The Colts defeated rival Marlboro in the Shore Conference Tournament final on May 15, ending a drought that started after winning the 1992 title. The 2025 victory is the 11th Shore crown in team history.

CBA met Marlboro in the 2024 conference championship and was determined to have a winning outcoming this time around. The Colts won 4-1 over the Mustangs, taking the first singles, second singles, first doubles and second doubles matches.

Sophomore Vincenzo Caruso took the first singles point with a 7-5, 6-1 victory, while senior Luke Brennan was the second singles winner with a 6-2, 0-6, 10-8 decision.

On the doubles side, it was the duo of junior Julian Voorhees and freshman Dylan Cuneo (2-6, 6-4, 10-8) in the first slot, while freshman Sterling Porter and freshman Teddy Perednia (7-5, 6-3) took the point in second doubles.

Two weeks after the Shore title, the Colts repeated as NJSIAA State Sectional Champions, winning the Non-Public South bracket for the second straight year.

The pair of championships capped season where the Colts were 20-4 overall, including 13-1 in regular season matches. CBA also won the Haddonfield Doubles Tournament in early May.
