Capping off a record-breaking season, CBA Basketball senior Pat Andree was named NJ.com's Shore Conference Player of the Year, as announced Monday morning.
The spotlight was on the six-foot, eight-inch forward throughout CBA's season, as he chased down the Colts all-time scoring record. He broke Bob Roma's 40-year old record on January 19th, netting his 1,672nd point to become CBA's scoring king.
For the season, Andree averaged 24.0 points and 10.3 rebounds per game, good for third and sixth in the Shore, respectively. Those numbers included multiple 30-point outings, with a season-high 42 points in early January against Moses Brown (R.I.).
Andree was also selected to the Asbury Park Press' first team All-Shore, as the Shore Sports Network's Player of the Year and as the Shore Sports Zone's Player of the Year.
During his career at CBA, Andree led the Colts to three Shore Conference Finals appearances and a 2015 NJSIAA Sectional Championship. He will continue his playing career at the NCAA Division I level with Lehigh University.
Meanwhile, Andree's front court teammate, senior Jack McGuire, was selected to the Asbury Park Press' third team All-Shore. McGuire averaged 14.6 points per game on the year, giving the Colts another solid scoring option.
