Six Colts Recognized for Top Lacrosse Performances

Six Christian Brothers Academy lacrosse players were recognized for excellent seasons on the field in 2022.

Midfielder Ian Macrae '23, attack Ryan Martin '22, attack Nick Blalock '23, defenseman Peter Canterino '22, and defenseman Max Avrillon '22 were selected to the A North Division first team. Midfielder Adain Guinnessey '22 was chosen for the all-division second team.

Avrillon was named the A North Division's Player of the Year.

At the conference level, Blalock was selected as an All-Shore first team midfielder. He led CBA with 44 goals, 35 assists, and 79 points. Canterino was picked for the All-Shore second team as a defenseman.

The Colts won the A North Division for the 15th time, going 8-0 in division games. CBA did not allow more than six goals in any division game this season, with five games seeing the Colts' opponent scoring a goal or less.

Christian Brothers advanced to the Shore Conference semifinals, dropping that game to the eventual champion Rumson Fair Haven. CBA defeated Bergen Catholic in a tight game to open the state tournament, before losing in the quarterfinals to Don Bosco Prep.
