CBA Athletics is pleased to announce that Chris Gotterup '17 (Varsity Golf) and Joe Escandon '19 (Freshmen Baseball) are the April Student-Athletes of the Month, sponsored by Tinton Falls Orthopedic & Sports Physical Therapy.

The Rundown

Gotterup had an April to remember, as the CBA junior won both the Monmouth County and Shore Conference individual championships. At the Monmouth County Championships, Gotterup set a course record -6 (66) on his way to winning the individual title by seven strokes. A week later, Gotterup had another impressive performance at the Shore Conference Championship, shooting a -3 (69) to win that title by three strokes.

Joe Escandon | Freshmen Baseball | Freshman | Loch Arbour, N.J.

The Rundown

Escandon was dominant on the mound for the Freshmen Colts during the month of April. He led the team in wins, strikeouts, innings pitched and has an ERA of just 0.70. On April 8, Escandon threw a complete game no-hitter against Freehold Boro, striking out seven in the process.
