For the seventh consecutive indoor season, Christian Brothers Academy stands on top as NJSIAA Non-Public A State Champions.

The Colts won three events on their way to winning the title by 23.5 points over second place Union Catholic on Saturday in Toms River.

Senior Tim Jacoutot- a perennial 2017 winner- won the 400m dash, senior Colin Trigani took the 1600m event and junior Dan Mead secured the shot put victory with a personal best.

Second place finishers included Jacoutot in the 55m high hurdles, senior Noah Yuro in the 1600m and Brian Hill in the 3200m. Senior Drake Anzano added a third place finished in the 800m.

Seniors Brendan Bodisch (high jump) and John Healy (pole vault) notched fourth place finishes. The 4x400m team of Jacoutot, Nick Ebert, Andrew Canale and Rafael Coppola also finished fourth.

The championship is the 22nd overall indoor win for the CBA program.

"Our seventh straight State Championship is a really big accomplishment for all the kids and the coaches that have been involved," head coach Karl Torchia said. "As coaches, we couldn't have asked for anything more from these kids. Their hard work and dedication makes this program what it is."

Many of the top finishers from this weekend will now take part in next Saturday's individual Meet of Champions.
