Christian Brothers Academy Athletics is pleased to announce that Joey Lozowski (Varsity Soccer) and Joe David '20 (Varsity Sailing) have been named the September Student-Athletes of the Month, sponsored by Tinton Falls Orthopedic & Sports Physical Therapy.

THE RUNDOWN: The Colts' senior captain came out of the gate hot this fall, notching three goals and four assists in September. Lozowski scored all three of his goals in the final week of the month alone. He helped pace CBA to a 9-1 record in the first month of play, including big wins over Delran and Peddie, as well as two victories at the Delbarton Invitational.
SOUNDBITE: "Joe is a two-year captain that leads his team both on and off the field. A steady contributor for the last three years, Joe has had significant hand in our program's wins at the Delbarton Invitational, Shore Conference Championship, State Championship, and Sectional Championships. THE RUNDOWN: The CBA Sailing junior has quickly made a name for himself as one of the top crews in the state. Sailing with different skippers during the first month, David's boat has finished in the top-10 in every regatta that he's sailed, including a fifth place finish at the league championship.
SOUNDBITE: "While the crew position sometimes gets overlooked in sailing since they don't steer the boat, Joe has been an integral part of our success over the past two years. This fall, he has been critical to acclimating our new skippers to high school sailing, and to no surprise, has found success with each one of them." - Coach Jason Lutz
