In a matter of just two days, the Colts added two more Shore Conference Championships to their long list of titles.

On Thursday afternoon, CBA Cross Country won their ninth consecutive Shore Conference title, and 35th overall, at Ocean County Park in Lakewood.

The Colts put all seven of their runners in the top-20, beating second place Toms River North 37-94.

Brian Dengler, who committed to Bucknell University the day before, finished second, while Brian Hill, Nick Trigani and Noah Yuro all finished in the top-ten.

CBA posted a total time of 1:18:39, with an average of 15:43.80. Toms River North finished with a total time of 1:20:19 (avg. 16:03.80) and Colts Neck was third (117 points) with a total time of 1:20:54 (avg. 16:10.80).

On Saturday night, CBA Soccer won their first Shore Conference Championship since 2011 with a 2-0 decision over Ocean Township at the Summerfield School in Neptune.

The title holds extra importance in 2015, as it was retiring head coach Dan Keane's last chance at a Shore Conference plaque. The Colts delivered for their head coach, as CBA broke the scoreless tie in the 68th minute when junior Ryan Nigro netted the deciding goal.

"I looked up and saw the goalie sort of cheating on the one side of the net," Nigro said. "I just looked up and saw it, picked my spot and just hit it, and just hoped it went in."

The Colts gave Ocean very few chances at a score, as their defense was staunch behind senior Tom Lozowski, and CBA closed out the victory with a security goal by junior Aaron Robertson.

This was the ninth and final Shore Conference Tournament win for Keane, who chose to look forward to the program's future after the game.

"We have been a major program here for a long time, and as far as where it's going, we have some key pieces coming back," Keane said. "Along with coach Matson hopefully moving into the head coach spot, they are outstanding now and should be outstanding again next season."

Both CBA soccer and cross country now look forward to the state championships in the coming weeks.
