Keane retired at the end of the 2015 season, winning 545 games, five state championships and nine Shore Conference titles in 37 seasons at the helm of the Colts.

New head coach Tom Mulligan '83 developed the idea of an alumni event after being named Keane's successor in March. The alumni soccer game will followed by a family BBQ for all those in attendance. Festivities begin at 10:30 a.m. with Coach Keane joining his former players to provide priceless encouragement from his old spot on the sidelines.

"The Keane Cup Alumni Game establishes a new tradition linking past legends of CBA Soccer with our current team," Mulligan said. "For the first time in over four decades, the CBA Soccer community will welcome back nearly 50 former players."

After the alumni event concludes, the current Colts will be hosting rival Don Bosco Prep in the CBA home opener at 1:00 p.m. Christian Brothers current sits number one in the NJ.com Shore Conference rankings, winning their first two regular season games on the road at Freehold Boro and Marlboro.

CBA returns nine players from their 2015 run to the Shore Conference Championship, including Shore Player of the Year and National Coaches' Association All-American, senior Matt Thorsheim. Seniors Ryan Nigro, Thomas Judge, Aedan Boriotti, Scott Mission and Thorsheim were each named to either the Asbury Park Press or NJ.com All-Shore teams in 2015.

Both CBA and Don Bosco are considered contenders in Non-Public A this season, with CBA falling just short in the Non-Public A State Championship and Don Bosco advancing to the final four in 2015.

"The Don Bosco game is a non-conference in-state rivalry match that our players have looked forward to since the first day of preseason. Everyone expects an entertaining game between two of the state's premier soccer programs," Mulligan said.
