For the sixth straight year, CBA Outdoor Track is the Shore Conference Champions.

The Colts won the 2016 championship on Saturday at Central Regional High School, their 13th title overall.

The day was highlighted by some great performances on the track. Senior Mike Zupko won the 400 m. in 49.01, becoming the first Shore runner to ever win three consecutive individual championships in the 400 m. Tim Jacoutot won the 400 m. hurdles in 53.86, which was good for fourth fastest in CBA history.

Drake Anzano turned in an impressive victory in the 800 m. (1:53.91), which slotted him as the eighth fastest in CBA history. The Colts also won the 4x400 m. with Jacoutot, Brendan Bodisch, Nick Egbert and Zupko leading the charge.

Just a week earlier, CBA took home the Monmouth County Championship in Holmdel.

The Colts got individual wins from Anzano (1600 m.), Zupko (400 m.) and Will Lutkewitte (Discus) en-route to a 20-point victory over Matawan. Zupko's 400 m. time of 48.08 was good for second fastest in CBA history by 0.01 seconds.

The Monmouth County win was the seventh in a row for CBA and 22nd overall.

Meanwhile, the freshmen and sophomore squads took home state championship honors at the New Jersey Catholic Track Championships this past Sunday.

The varsity team now looks ahead to the opening of the state tournaments with the sectional championship on Friday and Saturday at Egg Harbor High School.
