Members of the Christian Brothers Academy lacrosse team earned multiple honors as the 2016 lacrosse season drew to a close last week.

The Colts won the Shore Conference's A North Division, while advancing to the Shore Conference Tournament semifinals in what was one of the toughest conference tournaments in recent history.

Senior captain John Salcedo was recognized as a U.S. Lacrosse High School All-American, becoming just the the seventh CBA player to receive that honor and the first since 2012. Senior Christopher Hayes became the second Colt to be honored as a U.S. Lacrosse High School Academic All-American.

Salcedo, senior captain Gordon Paul and leading scorer junior Nick Casner were named to the Shore Conference Coaches first team all-conference.

The Shore Conference Coaches also selected Salcedo, Paul, Casner and senior Shay Walczak to the A North Division first team, with Salcedo tagged as the division's player of the year.

Casner registered his 100th career goal on May 7, becoming just the eighth Colt to reach that milestone. Casner also moved into fifth place on CBA's all-time scoring list during the same game.

Salcedo, Paul and Walczak were selected to play in the Shore Conference's senior all-star game on June 15 at Rumson-Fair Haven Regional.
